A festival of surf and celebrations has once again been following the Nomad through the Mentawai Islands.

The Nomads sails were filled with epic waves, cabin fever, dance parties and positive energy that certainly guided our way to treasures on every turn. The sunny coast boy really turned it on and made the most of the classic surf conditions with all the boys spending plenty of time in the green room both back and front side. Although in the heart of the peak season we had almost no trouble with the mob and many of the sessions were just the Nomad boys trading waves.

After the surfing day DJ Duzz would hit the decks and set the mood with an afternoon DJ set that occasionally escalated into a cabin fever party or in perfect conditions of rain and lightning a deck dance off that were all time, personally i think the naked monkey was a winner. Between the two above the boys managed to hook up some great fish but certainly the highlights were the thumping Wahoo that Mr Marlin Marshall wrestled to the decks and a dinosaur of a Black Marlin that blew all our minds. Sammy put in a great fight but eventually the Marlin chaffed through the line and was named the winner.

That’s just a taste of the action really, ill be expecting big things from these boys next time.

Enjoy the Pics.
