Fantastic weather welcomed back a return crew for my first trip back on the Nomad this season. With a couple of new faces mixed in the group for their first look around the Mentawai island chain.

With no shortage of swell over the 2 week trip and winds staying in the light variable for the whole 2 weeks things couldn’t have been better.

The pictures will tell the story better with a good variety of lefts and rights on offer coupled with minimal crowds the lads were stoked. Best tubes ever for some, and don’t worry Cam it still counts if its not on camera. Well done mate.

The boys also stepped it up this year in the fishing stakes, with about 30kg of tackle and personal equipment no species of fish was not covered for. With a slow start the fish started coming over the side regularly towards the end of the trip with catches of Wahoo, Spanish Mackrel, Tuna, and who could forget the excitement of the double hook up of Sailfish. Plus the evening entertainment of the flick off.The last night was epic with 11 Trevally the boys bagged out. Kingys goldfish rattler paid off finally…..haha

Good to see everyone again hopefully see you again next year.

Thanks to crew- Ronny, Situ, Besta, Edo
