Nomad kicked off its season with return guests from 2016 and were all impressed with the off season TLC, maintenance and improvements.
Perfect weather to get the trip underway in the northen region of the Mentawai for an easy start on some glassy right handers. The swell kicked as we sailed south lucking into some good size waves to test the limits of the guys along most of the way.
The call was made to head to the most southern end of the island chain with clean empty lineups on the minds. We weren’t dissapointed. Mixed with some successful diving and sunset fishing trips on Nomad’s secret weapon Boomerang, the call to do the extra miles to this remote area was a good one.
An epic (and lonely!) day at Lances Right on the way home was the icing on the cake !
Thanks for a great trip guys, awesome way to kick off the season.
